Fairies are our family's preferred deity because they are a personification of nature without anything supernatural, and they evoke our best efforts toward protecting, nurturing, and honoring life and its simple joys.
The reason fairies are something like the family patron saint is because they make us mindful of:
- Innocence and simplicity of thought without ignorance
- Awareness, Beauty, Wisdom without complexity.
- All natural - there is no better tool or method than nature's
- They have the experience of the ages
- Joy is nature's mode of being
- Caretaker of nature
- Lightness and flight
- The best of what nature has to offer
- They are the human connection to nature's best; they're the personification of nature.
- Freedom from worry
- Poise and confidence
- A fairy wouldn't ride a motorcycle because it goes against nature (loud, polluting)
- They tread lightly, not even leaving footprints.
- Don't go fast. Every step is important, every flower deserves homage. Never in a hurry, not held up or hung up.
- Not omniscient, not omnipresent, not omnipotent. They have a body, a location, and a perspective.
- They can give comment freely and openly drawing on their perspective. Their view is not tainted because they are open and aware of the world around them and their experiences.
- Wise without being old or particularly experienced... how do they do this? It seems possible.
- Very much in the present. They feel deeply (the earth's pulse) without error, judgment, or being mixed up. They can feel sadness, joy, or any deep feeling at all, in complete empathy with their full situation.
