I came across this little snippet in Finite and Infinite Games and had a new take on it relative to the fact that Austin Biz Wiz is now ready to take flight.

Infinite speech is that mode of discourse that consistently reminds us of the unspeakability of nature. It bears no claim to truth, originating from nothing but the genius of the speaker.

the beginning of Chapter 76

This is so very exactly what I find in my consulting deliverables! The reason my reports tend to spend not a few words on explaining the nature of and approach to its content is because I'm trying to relate this basic fact about the nature of the report. I say things like "These definitions may or may not match definitions you find out there in the world, but they are related and will hopefully lead you to find meaning in them."

Here's another gem from the same chapter:

The meaning of an infinite speaker's discourse lies in what comes of its utterance -- that is, whatever is the case because it is spoken

It is indeed a creative act. With the way we use words we're trying to make things happen that couldn't otherwise. Forge connections, lay foundations, raise questions, open doors.

If you look at the first chapter of the report done for Math For Keeps in early 2014, you will see more than a page trying to explain this to a person who's unfamiliar with this book or what an infinite player is.

Yet, this seems to be what keeps them coming. I'm getting rave reviews for my mode of discourse.

Anyway, the reason I titled this "Can't Overshare" is because when what you say is infinite as explored here, then you can never say too much or give away the store. They are paying for the

genius

(as used in the book), and that can only be generated in context.

So do not reserve anything on blogs and in presentations. Always create. They will ask you to create for them, to share their context and to riff to their benefit. Do it.
